The Village has a thriving and active community.  The Royal Wedding in 2011 was celebrated with a very successful street party as was the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in June 2012.

The Parish Council provided commemorative mugs for all of the children aged under 12 for the Jubilee.  Due to the wet weather, the food was served in the Village Hall but the sun shone long enough for everyone to be able to enjoy the traffic free Village street.

The village Christmas parties have been held in the Village Hall on a Friday evening just before Christmas.   Mulled wine, punches, mince pies and so on are served at no charge, but contributions to the Hall are usually welcome.

There is also a raffle. Everyone in the Village is invited together with friends and family.

The Village Fete is held each year in July at Church Farm.  There's lots of old favourite stalls: White Elephant - Toys - Tombola - Books - Raffle - Clothes - Plants - Cakes and produce in addition to live music (two bands again this year !) as well as Mr Whizz, Archery, Pandora‚Äôs Box, teas on the lawn, ice creams and some new and amusing games for everyone.  It is the perfect setting for a summer gathering for all the family!

There is an active WI with the ladies of the nearby village of Siddington.  Find more information on Siddington's website.

The Art Group has been meeting in the Village Hall for some years.  For more information contact Cathy Lynn
