The Village

The Village has a thriving and active community.  The Royal Wedding in 2011 was celebrated with a very successful street party as were the Queen's  Jubilees in June 2012 and June 2022.  The Village is planning to hold another street party to celebrate King Charles III's coronation in May 2023.

The Parish Council provided commemorative mugs for all of the children aged under 12 for the Jubilees.  Due to the wet weather in 2012 the food was served in the Village Hall but the sun shone long enough for everyone to be able to enjoy the traffic free Village street.

VILLAGE CHRISTMAS PARTY

The village Christmas parties have been held in the Village Hall on a Friday evening before Christmas.  Mulled wine, punches, mince pies and so on are served at no charge, but contributions to the Hall are usually welcome.

There is also a raffle. Everyone in the Village is invited together with friends and family.

VILLAGE FETE

The Village Fete has been held annually at Church Farm hosted by Mrs Scilla Chester-Master.  Plans for this year have yet to be announced.
